AMFTC would like to Introduce you to our NEW Drummer
AMFTC
Alessandro Zito: Drummer
Age: 23
Influences: Dream Theater, Stratovarious, Killswitch Engage, Kamelot, Basil Poledouris
Born to a musical mother and father, Alessandro showed interest in music almost instantly. After seeing that Alessandro could not stop banging on the kitchen pots and pans, Alessandro received his first drum kit when he was only four years old. His timing and talent are indicative of a level of perfection that can only be achieved with years of experience. Alessandro enjoyed listening to eighties bands, European metal, rock bands, and progressive rock. Tullio DePiscopo saw Alessandro play and he saw the potential for greatness in Alessandro's talent. Tullio was so moved that he encouraged Alessandro's parents to keep him in lessons.
He later branched into piano, where he learnt musical theory and began performing at local recitals in the west end of the city under the careful instruction of Robert Desalle. He performed with the school jazz orchestra and they were so successful that they toured Florida. At the age of 11, Alessandro was playing in his first band Sinister West, with guitarist Kamil Rzeznik. Sinister West was Alessandro's first taste of being in a 'real' band. After playing in numerous projects ranging from progressive metal, jazz and funk, he united with an acoustic duo that would later become a complete rock band called Virtue & Vice. Virtue & Vice really stepped things up a notch for Alessandro when he was exposed to dealing with record companies and meeting industry professional. The band reached moderate success in Toronto and established a small following in the local music industry. The band slowly fell apart and Alessandro sought a new project.
A strike of lighting came one day when a quick 'Facebook' message, sent by guitarist Rzeznik, arrived in the Inbox simply saying, "Are you interested in drumming for a different project?" AMFTC needed an experience drummer with a certain talent. After the first audition, it became evident that not only was the chemistry between the band members instant, but the band never sounded tighter. Alessandro is just another weapon in AMFTC's arsenal.

AMFTC's Guitarist Steve Genua
Influences: Bon Jovi, Skid Row, Bullet for My Valentine, Linkin Park, Smashing Pumpkins, Cancer Bats...etc.
In 1990 at the age of seven Steve Genua first heard and fell in love with the band Bon Jovi. From that moment on he aspired and dreamed of being able to wail on the guitar as well as Richie Sambora and one day play in a rock band of his own. In the spring of 1995, he finally got his first guitar. Steve was privately taught by jazz great George Grosman. In his early teens he formed his first band with school friends, a side project that only Steve took seriously. When they ceased to exist as a band Steve kept practicing. During late 1998, he began jamming with a friend and together they would ultimately form the group 22 Ounce Kilo. The band finally came together when front man Brandon Ross joined. 22 Ounce Kilo performed as a band for numerous years, ending abruptly with the departure of Brandon. With the loss of a band member 22 Ounce Kilo lost its momentum. He continued to compose on his own while searching for musicians who shared his musical passion, vision and values.
During late summer of 2006, Steve received an unexpected call from former front man Brandon Ross. Ross proposed a creative coalition. Agreeing, Steve and Brandon went headlong into forming and finding the rest of the puzzle pieces. For Steve this venture was unknowingly to become one of the most serious and solid bands that he had ever been a part of. At their one month mark a name for their new project was concocted. "A Match for the Curious." At eight months old the band, "A Match for the Curious," (AMFTC) began playing gigs with a bang, kicking off their performance career with a show at the renowned Vans Warped Tour.
A year into performing AMFTC had gained staggering momentum. AMFTC performed and won the Canadian leg of the Emergenza Music Festival leading to the Taubertal Open Air Festival in Germany. At the Taubertal Festival, AMFTC was up to compete with bands from around the world. Still new to the music world, AMFTC rose up to the daunting task and performed in front of 20,000 people with competence and confidence well beyond their years. AMFTC came back home owning the international honour of third place for 2008.

Bassist Robin Dworak's Bio
through Robin's fingers and he was eager to start a new project. Soon after, Robin joined Tenhundred in 2005. In Tenhundred, Robin learnt a lot about music as their repertoire included everything from original pieces to covers. These various writing and playing styles influenced Robin's playing greatly. Since then he has been in a few projects from funk to jazz to a 'Kiss' tribute band. In 2007, he joined a band called Ejune and played along side a very talented guitarist named Kamil Rzeznik. Ejune was a serious project introducing its young members to music as a business. Ejune also took home first place in the Paragon Battle of the Bands.
