Brandon Ross Bio

Brandon Ross - Vocals
Age: 25
Influences: Linkin Park, Lost Prophets, Papa Roach, Foo Fighters, 30 Seconds to Mars, Michael Jackson...
Brandon started singing at the age of 15 while living in Aurora, Ontario. He started playing guitar in 1996. He auditioned for several bands throughout the year of 1998. Near the end of 1998, he formed his first band with a friend, and named the project, 'Bliss.' In this project, Brandon switched instruments between guitar, drums and vocals. This project came to an end as he had to move to Mississauga.
Feeling uninspired the music came to a halt until Brandon picked up a flyer in 2001 at a local coffee shop entitled: 'Singer Wanted.' So he thought he would give it a shot; it had been a few years since he had sung in a band. With his strong vocals, Brandon ended up becoming the frontman of the band called 22 Ounce Kilo. The project introduced him to his present guitarist Steve Genua. 22 was also the project that gave Brandon the opportunity to start writing songs as well as producing some parts with guitarist Steve. The band stayed together for a few years and played many shows and competitions until the band fell apart. After that, Brandon's desire to have music in his life was insatiable; he pushed on to find the right band but it seemed that he could not find one with his same dedication to music.
After searching on the internet for bands he came across another ad that sparked his interest in 2004. The band was Eighty Eight. Brandon was a part of this band for about one year until he realized that 88 was not the right band for him only after playing one show. This band included his present guitarist Kamil Rzeznik.
Years of failed attempts, led Brandon to believe that he should start his own project with his vision, showcasing a style that best suited him. So he wrote a handful of songs and riffs and called up his former guitarist Steve Genua in late summer of 2006. Steve was on board with the project after one phone call. Together, they worked on songs and formed a unique style that they were both happy about. They named the band, "A Match for the Curious." They figured that they needed a name that had a special significance... and after that the pieces and members fell together perfectly into a band that has catchy hooks and amazing chemistry.
